has any body been aproached by dean foods to straight contract your milk with them and hurt the rest of the daiymen by bypassing the system and supressing premium blends and etc. please comment becuase that is truly a crooked way of doing buisness.

why should'nt we milk more cows eveybody should wake up there is not enough cows milked instead calling us factory farms which is a insult you should focus you're anger on stopping dean kraft etc. on importing protean products and such which what is supressing our market do your research instead on of shooting your guns with a bline fold on.

As far as I can see the issue of profitability, or lack thereof, has more to do with management then any other single factor. I milk 70 cows with my dad and while it may be tough theres always oppurtunity. Instead of putting your head in the sand and blaming whoever you can point at the fastest maybe one should take a good hard look at there own operation. What are my strengths? weaknesses? What should I change to position myself/business for the future?

How are we/you?! add cows?! How the hell can you not see what all you jack ass's have done to the industry by "adding cows" or "Adding milk" we will be right back here before we know it because of greedy ass's who cant see the big picture. There is no reason to make more milk in this country right now.Also if you make a nice living get paid a higher price for your milk and milk less cows doing it why the hell would you not want to? you can see cwt needs to go nobody wants to quite find another way to fix the market or hows about this let the market fix it's self we had less major swings the natural ways get gov. out look at whats going its going to happen with our health care train wreck and we need more coops not bigger ones and coops that are not scared to do something and demand more for what are product is worth i live in a major milk market shortted area but yet no premiums let west texas milk flood their own markets mybe then they will learn a lesson instead of getting a east coast bail out every time.
