Alpharma
Launches New Bovatec® Delivery System for Pasture Cattle
AT
THIS WEEK’S ANNUAL NCBA TRADESHOW IN DENVER, ALPHARMA ANIMAL HEALTH INTRODUCED
A CONVENIENT WAY TO PROVIDE IONOPHORE SUPPLEMENTATION TO DAIRY
CATTLE ON
PASTURE.
CALLED BOVATEC® 2.2, THE NEW 44-POUND BLOCK CONTAINS 2.2 GRAMS OF
BOVATEC PER POUND.
RYAN
DUNN, THE MARKETING MANAGER FOR U.S. CATTLE PRODUCTS AT ALPHARMA, TELLS US MORE:
Bovatec
enhances growth rates in most any type or quality of pasture for cattle
producers. By offering Bovatec in a block form, we are making it easier
for producers currently not using Bovatec to deliver it to their pasture cattle.
EXTENSION
SPECIALIST DR. DALE BLASI [BLAAS-ee] FROM KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY HAD THIS TO
SAY:
The
block form of Bovatec 2.2 appears to be compact and easy to handle, and I
believe it will allow managers the opportunity to monitor consumption patterns
in the field. Also, the salt content in Bovatec 2.2 will certainly help to
encourage intake, and the convenience of the block will help save time and
labor.
ACCORDING
TO ALPHARMA, THE NEW BLOCK CONTAINING BOVATEC IS AVAILABLE NOW FOR THE SPRING
GRAZING SEASON.
