AgriLabs, Allflex Enter Joint Venture for AgriTag Supply, Field Support

ST. JOSEPH, Mo., Feb. 21, 2008 - AgriLabs, a leading animal-health marketer, has announced a joint venture with Dallas-based Allflex USA to provide animal-identification products and support services to livestock producers. As a result, AgriLabs' highly regarded AgriTag(R) product line will be manufactured by Allflex, the world leader in design and delivery of animal identification for traceability systems. In addition, AgriLabs will complement the Allflex commercial team in providing field-service and marketing support for Allflex-branded visual identification products.

"The need for accurate information, gathered quickly and practically, is so important to today's beef, dairy, swine and other livestock producers," says David Zehendner, business unit manager, AgriLabs. "This joint venture is a wonderful way to combine forces to help producers to meet their unique identification needs. Our people in the field already know each other well, so are well-suited to work together in creating identification solutions."

Built to last in real-world conditions and packaged in durable, resealable, 25-count bags, AgriTags feature Infection Protection(TM) antibacterial  coating on each stud to aid with proper healing after the tag is applied. The wider neck and larger panels give more space for additional management information. Producers can use either the AgriTagger(R) Applicator or the Allflex Universal Total Tagger(TM) to affix the three sizes and four colors of AgriTags for easily visible identification.

"We are thrilled to be providing AgriTags, and to be working closely with AgriLabs' capable sales and service team as they provide additional support for our identification products," says Glenn Fischer, senior vice president, marketing, Allflex. "Individual-animal identification can be such an important part of making a healthy difference, which is AgriLabs' core promise to its customers. Our mutual commitment to quality products backed by top service will be a winning combination for livestock producers everywhere."
